Though slavery is across the world, humans enslaving others are most commonly known in society, whether it be themselves or other supernaturals. Predominantly, it was demihuman slaves, as more "mythical" supernaturals were more prone to retaliation. After many civil wars, revolutionaries, and movements, slavery is illegal in the majority of countries in the world...though the majority is not all, and many supernaturals find themselves under the same boat decades ago.

Interspecies marriages ranges from completely accepted to flat out illegal in many countries. With words like "beastility" thrown around for humans (even if with a demihuman) and powerism for supernaturals, many interspecies relationships often face many prejudiced attacks, verbally, physically, and/or systematically. However, strides has been made, and there many movements to support interspecies marriages/relationships, as those in them face prejudices.

With many supernaturals having abilities akin to "superhero powers," a hero industry was born, where many supernaturals use their powers for law enforcement. Equally, there are villains who use their abilities selfishly, and mostly supernaturals are ordered to deal with other supernaturals.Though many heroes are supernatural, magic is acknowledged and practiced, allowing humans to also become heros via witchery/wizardry.

Many decades ago for mainly supernatural cultures, raw power meant more respect. Though humans can be seen as the main progressives and runners of society and the world, they're at the bottom of the "power chain" along with animals. In modern times, mostly outside of western cultures, more raw power makes you more respected, and acknowledged as a valued person.*Were-animals and Demihumans are only different by were-animals having the ability to transform into the animal they are, while demihumans can not.

Public schools are required to be inclusive of both humans and supernaturals, but there are private schools that exist that segregate between species (even down to races of supernaturals). Though being mandated, many schools, like the DUNY (Draconic University of New York) strive to show the power collaboration has; to help against powerism and fight for equality for all living beings.

Background

A life grown up around negative snake stereotypes, and addition to being one of the most venomous snakes on the planet, led for Izara's life to be misery. Background

Léonardo grew up in a poor household, with his only family struggling to make ends meet with whatever odd job they could handle. For his mom, it was sex work, but for his sister, her jobs were frantic— she could be at a grocery store first, then doing something crazily illegal the next. And this desperation caused his sister to get a job delivering drugs, which Léonardo thought was extremely suspicious of. His sister wouldn't listen to him, but something in his gut just told him to chase after her, and good he did, as he saved her just in time before she got beaten to death. From there a protectiveness surged out from him, feeling the constant need to be around her in fear of losing her once again. It was nice, but his sister soon found it suffocating, so she proposed for him to hone it into something that could give him money, which was the SBCA: Supernatural Bodyguard Contracting Agency. Through all of the training and emotional suppression sessions, he passed with flying colors, all owing it to his sister for pushing him this far.

Background

Fig grew up in an orphanage in New York, though the orphanage was poorly funded so the conditions were horrible. He's never meant his parents, but with being abandoned and dealing with so many other kids and even adults choosing to leave him alone for some unknown reason, Fig took it upon himself to fend for his needs. He would start to do anything for money when he was 13, which in one bad job, ended up getting him roped into first child labor. When the higher-ups realized how vulnerable Fig was and won't be missed for being an orphan, they subjected him into the human trafficking system. He was taken advantage of in any way, though mainly for sexual pleasure as he was shared among many men. He never truly stayed in one place, switching from one owner to another until in one facility, being 21, he met Apricot, who he quickly got attached to. While it served him helpful for having comfort, it also was a double-edged sword to see who he loved get abused as badly as him. Due to this, Fig becomes progressively anxious and paranoid more than before in fear of Apricot dying or having lethal injuries.

Background

Whenever Apricot was five, he was sold off by his parents in order to receive money for unknown reasons; since then he's never seen his family again. Being already subjected to trafficking, Apricot was forced to endure a lot of forced labor and sexual abuse, which only worsen when Apricot turned 14, being constantly switched around between different owners for mainly his female body. Dealing with such intense truama at a young age, Apricot slowly learned to dissociate to cope with his traumatizing reality, which to a point became uncontrollable at times. In one of his owner transfers, he met Fig, who both took solace in their pain, eventually using each other as a sense of comfort. Fig's hold helps him ground himself from a dissociative episode, so he grew extremely attached to him, making it both a problem whenever he panics when Fig gets used and absed. Now at 19, his disorder has been worse than ever, even a slightly more than stressful situation urges his mind to dissociate.

Background

While Imazan grew up in a caring family in the middle class, Imazan wasn't lucky enough to have that same care in school; being a supernatural-majority school, he was picked on for being at the bottom of the power chain. Not only to be seen as strong, but the perks of have supernatural powers. Imazan tried wizardry, but the practice to learn and hone was too long to satisfy his needs. Thinking the work would be easy, he accepts it; however as he was turned into an extremely powerful demon, it was revealed his work would be to become a rentee in Rent-A-Demon. He completely despises it and feels like it's humiliating to serve under a creature lesser than him, and a deeper part feels like it's his bullies all over again. Background

Ike always wanted a werewolf child with Shiori, who he loved most. After many failed attempts and a stillbirth, Kiran was born as a rainbow baby, however as a demihuman. Shiori loved him regardless of being her only child ever, but Ike started to despise Kiran for not being the kid he wanted. Ike neglected Kiran as he grew up, leaving Shiori as the only supporting parent until Ike gave up trying to have another kid. Ike started to introduce Kiran into the criminal life to continue his criminal organization, Takami, by the tradition of being passed down generations. It started from stealing money to seeing violent interrogations and hearing the murder of a victim— all deeply scarring Kiran. Yet each time Kiran expressed distress, Ike would beat him, making Kiran learn to suppress and eventually repress his emotions for survival. The new change in demeanor however made Shiori upset, making her create an escape plan. When the day came, they were chased down by Ike's goons, causing Kiran to get shot in his leg and Shiori lethally shot in her chest. In her last words, she urged Kiran to live a life without crime and to run away as far as he could, so he did everything she asked without looking back. Kiran managed to get a plane ticket to Scotland, a place Shiori always dreamed about. He would apply for citizenship there, along with taking an interest in helping animals as he volunteered at an animal shelter. This turned into a desire for caring for animals, making him complete a vet tech program to be officially allowed to work with veterinarians. With the money he has, he bought himself a simple 1 bedroom and 1 story house, where he lives with his guinea pig, Sunflower, and after meeting and dating you, you as well.
